My approach to your web site marketing is personalized, website specific, foundational, systematic and timely.

I listen to what you want to do with your website and the audience you want to try and reach. I will of course do the standard stuff necessary today in search engine submissions, etc. I will also recommend what I am aware may be of benefit to your site business objectives and what I have seen tend to work well on the over 70 websites I have built and support at this time.

On the national level I watch the social media and search engine trends measuring the benefits to the possible liabilities before I recommend them to my clients. I then assist you to get the most out of the opportunities as possible while continuing to keep your foundational website in the center of the activity and growth as that is still your best long term business stategy. Almost all national level and many local level marketing options are limited window of time opportunities which will probably evaporate in time so I form conservative, ethical stategy to adapt and utilize them, participate and then review their merit and value on an on going basis. I get real life feed back and some good stats from my established client base.

On a local and national level I am always keeping my eyes open and ear to the ground for free and cost effective forms of advertising our websites. At times I have co-op and free business advertising / site marketing opportunities arise that I let my group of clients become aware of so those who want to participate in them can do so. Often these are added value services I provide that distinquish my design and support services from any other in total overall value and performance in the web industry. That is my daily and long term goal!

I recommend all your contact information is listed here from all your phones, postal mail to fax. I protect your email address from the general public and spam bots on this web form using a php mailer script that sends the web form content in email format to your email address of choice where you can then review and screen the content to see if it is valid and you want to then reply by phone or with your business email account at that time.

• Feedback Web Form
These are still good to have on your site and I recommend them.

• Newsletter Sign up
I recommend you let me add a simple "name / email address" newsletter sign up form to your site so you do not miss the opportunity to communicate with those who want to hear more from you in the future.

• Customer / Client Review Sections with your own website review submission form.
This page section helps put you and your website in the drivers seat for your client reviews. The problem with outside services is they own the content and do what ever they want with it. If they go out of business or change their policies or just lose your reviews all the work you and your customers put into that outside review resource vanishes. I highly recommend you put the review on your own site where you can monitor and manage them, you get the hits to your site and you don't have to concern yourself with wasting your time and energy on a third party site. Also, there will be no hidden gimmicks and tricks in loading PPC and your competitors links on your bio review page like so many of those sites tend to do. That is called leak and lead drainage - you do all the work - get them to look up your business name on the web than the third party that pops up with your listing sends them to your competition. Not good business sense there. Long term it is better to get your review onto your website and I have a simple system to make that happen for you.

• Specials and Printable Web Coupons
Years ago I developed a simple yet effective design method of posting and printing web coupons. It eliminates the need to print the whole web page and waste ink and miss lines due to their ink jet being out of a color or two.  My printer friendly web coupon design is a highly visible, above the fold, "call to action" tool that says "we want your business".  You can have, and I highly recommend that you do have lots of coupons and specials on your site the specifically target your key market and call to action products and services. I can design them into each product page and/or have them all show on a special coupon web page.
             
Social Media Integration  
If you have not already joined in you need to this year asap!  Social media is a game changer for small business now and if you wait to get in it will just hold you back at some time in the future. There is a little bit of a learning curve and social adapting to these new communication styles but in the end they offer real life connections to real people who are interested in you and your business. I can advise and help you get them set up and connected into your website.

• Facebook
By far the most important media now. This baby is now a behemoth in international size and scope and has moved effectively down into the local business level now so it is a must for your website markeing strategy. In time the search engine that they create or bring in may dominate the market the same as Google has done for the last 7 years. I expect outside search engines to become less and less trusted and relevant as their inside search engine gains traction and use. Think about it - if you are in Facebook - search for a local plumber - get several good choices - see they are trusted and have good Facebook presence and review - would you go out and use some other search engine that throws you into the big wide untrusted world? They are on to something here now that they are embracing businesses into their social system with your own page and vanity url. I will help you get going and also link FB into and from your site. They also have an RSS feed box that I can install on your site to get you "plugged in" fast!

• Twitter
Next to Facebook this is the most important other current social media you should jump right into. They have a business page option and offer the opportunity for me to help you set up a "favorites rss feed" box on your website where you control what shows in that area. That is important to you to help control the quality of tweets and the tweet messages that get onto your site. That option makes them a great tool to use to push up short "tweets" of current information, specials and links to other pages on your site and content on the web you want your users of your website to find. I set it up and you take it over and control the tweet favorites to your site - it's easy to learn, effective and even fun once you get the hang of doing it.  Facebook will also let your tweets feed into their wall section in the time line - that is a double bonus to quickly get your message out to that group of friends and followers too.
• Linked In
Still out there. Still has value for your website business. If you are a member I will get your link back with their logo on your site for those who may want to research you and your business a little more there. Professional connection and credibility is always important.

• MySpace
Still here and worth linking back from your site with their logo.


Website Article Section
Why not write and post your very own unique industry specific content articles and put them onto your own website, in a special "Articles" section so you get to keep them for as long as you want on your site while continuing to expand your circle of site readers and users to those who are interested in more indepth information about your website theme subjects. Both people and search engines appreciate good content and it is well worth your time to put a section together that covers the areas of your expertise and focus.

Blogs
If you are using my hosting services I currently can add a Word Press Blog to your site for free!  I will set it up, get it posted to the correct web space, link it into your website menu(s) and then show you how to login and take charge of it and off you go!  Blogs are still one of the most important media sought out, indexed and used even after the new Social Media explosion.
